Laura Powers, Communications Consultant

Laura Powers has over 25 years of experience working in the communication field.

Powers envisions her role in communications as that of a producer, creating memorable impressions for a brand.  By streamlining a client’s brand objectives into a creative and cohesive process across multiple platforms, Powers establishes a company narrative to build brand recognition, brand equity and impact ROI in a our global landscape.

Being brought up by a successful radio and television journalist in New York City, at a young age, Powers was consistently surrounded with the narrative involved in meaningful, in-depth reporting.  Her understanding of  compelling visuals and a strong narrative in storytelling has been a key component to building brand recognition and media exposure for her clients.

Powers experienced her first official entry into public relations at age 16 when she performed as Production Coordinator at Boerner PR,  TransAtlantic Advertising Agency in New York City ( ala Mad Men). Her success working with her first client,  Alia, the Royal Jordanian Airline, earned Powers her first business card.

She went on to scout topics for stories to develop “lighter side of the news” television segments in New York City, which resulted in countless Co-Producer credits on WNEW and FOX Local News.

Powers formal education includes a BFA with honors in photography and writing.  Always keeping her eye on communications, the synergy of her various passions have empowered her company, Powers Media Inc. to connect brands to their customers in new and vital ways.
